Junior Audio Programmer
Job Summary:
The Audio Tech Team at Interleave works alongside the audio/music teams to create and maintain the tools, and systems required to deliver full audio/music support for our various AAA and VR/AR games.
Upon joining, you will be assigned to the lead audio programmer on this team who will act as a mentor, guiding you through our code base and getting you up to speed as quickly as possible.
This position is remote, requires a well maintained media-capable computer and a high speed internet connection.
This project will require work hours primarily between the PST and EST time zones. Candidates outside of North America who are flexible with their working hours are also welcome to apply but this is not negotiable.

On a daily basis, you may be expected to:
Work with audio designers to engineer reusable modular audio systems that they can use to create superior audio content for the game.
Work with game programmers to support audio playback in gameplay systems.
Alter and enhance third-party tools to better suit the needs of the audio designers.
Write and maintain debugging tools for the audio systems.
Use C++/C# within a game engine to achieve the above.

The ideal candidate will have:
Passion for working closely with world-class sound designers, supporting their developing day-to-day needs for audio technology and associated tools.
A highly self-motivated team player with the ability to dive in, understand code, and learn quickly.
Fluent in C++/C# with strong debugging and documentation skills.
Familiar with OOP and experience writing code in multithreaded environments.
Solid understanding of runtime complexity and optimization.
Strong 3D math foundation
Experienced development in Unreal Engine, Unity, or another game engine.
A degree or post-graduate qualification, or relevant experience, in Computer Science or a related subject.
Nice to have:
Demonstrably strong talent for programming audio and related solutions, with a clear understanding of what makes games sound good.
Experience in DSP programming
Experience using WWise
